Podio for Real Estate Investors in 5 steps

Are you ready to start using Podio as a Real Estate Investor but unsure of how to get started?

I am a previous Podio employee and now a Podio Partner who has worked with Podio since 2010 and exclusively with Real Estate Investors since 2015. Many investors have a hard time figuring out where to start – which apps do they need, what do they need to automate, how do they use Podio?

So that is why I wrote this blog post – here are 5 quick steps that you can take to get started on Podio as a Real Estate Investor:

  1. Get the free SLC App Pack for Real Estate Investors
  2. Set up Podio to work with your Phone System
  3. Send Out Offers and Contracts with the Click of a Button
  4. Integrate your Cash Buyers list with MailChimp
  5. Set up reporting on Podio to track important KPIs

1. Get the SLC App Pack for Real Estate Investors:

Too many real estate investors spend too much time working on tasks that are not directly revenue generating. Some of your most valuable time is spent doing things like figuring out who to call, creating and sending contracts and digging through your email inbox to find information you need to get your job done.

Therefore, I have created a workspace specifically for Real Estate Investors that is based on the work I have done for my clients over the past year. This pack has been created to help you stay on top of incoming leads, manage follow ups, track KPIs and much more.

The app pack is completely free to install from the Podio App Market.

2. Track all your calls in Podio

If you use a phone system like as CallRail, RingCentral, Vumber or FreedomdomVoice to manage your incoming calls, you can set your phone system up to work with Podio. (If you don’t yet have a system set up, my recommendation would be CallRail – they have a free two week trial.)

To create the calls in Podio simply forward the email notifications you receive from your phone system directly the Call app in the SLC App Pack that you installed in the previous app. If this sounds complicated, don’t worry – it isn’t! I’ve created a video to show you how to set it up.

3. Send Out Offers and Contracts with the Click of a Button

If you want to get the most out of Podio as a Real Estate Investor, I recommend that you get Globiflow. Globiflow is what makes it possible for you to automate your workflows on Podio.

With Globiflow you can create documents and send them out to Seller Leads via email with the click of a button. Your leads can even sign these documents digitally via Rightsignature. Each contract is made custom for each lead by feeding in the name, address and offer price for the property directly into the document. This feature has saved a TON of time for my clients.

This video shows you exactly how to set up your contracts to be sent from Podio either via email or RightSignature.

4. Integrate your Cash Buyers list with MailChimp

The App Pack includes a Cash Buyers app, which makes it easy for you to manage all of your contact information in Podio – their contact details, what type of properties they are interested in, etc. – and with the click of a button, add them to your Cash Buyer List in MailChimp.

The easiest way to add a contact in Podio to a list in MailChimp is to use Newslettersync.com. This is a 3rd party app built by Phases, another Podio Partner.

See this video on how to set it up.

5. Track the essential KPIs

The last step you will need to configure is possibly also the most important in my opinion: tracking your KPIs.

The App Pack already has some essential reports, but I always recommend my clients to create their own custom reports. Since many of you have never created a report in Podio before, I’ve created a video for you to both walk through the reports included in the pack, but also to show you how to make your own.
