Evernote, the app that helps you and about 20 million other people all over the world remember stuff (all kinds of stuff!) is the latest sparkling addition to Podio’s integration family (following Google Docs, Dropbox and Box).
The power of Evernote is that it enables you to capture any type of information, store and access it from any device and then easily search and find it again, no matter what type of content it is – audio, image, text or web clip.
Now you can put your best notes to work in Podio! When you connect your Evernote account to Podio, you’ll be able to make your rich Evernote content sharable, actionable and collaborative in your Podio workspaces, apps, status updates, messages, tasks and anywhere else you can share content across the Podio platform. It’s all about Podio supporting your favorite apps and helping you get work done your way, both on your own and with your team.
Take Podio user Kathrine Johansen, for example. Kathrine is a project manager at CBS Goes Green, a Copenhagen Business School initiative to cut its own carbon emissions by 40%. CBS Goes Green uses Podio to manage all facets of the program and recruit more students to get on board. Using a purpose-built Podio webform, CBS students can apply to join the cause, while the team can review new recruits in a Podio workspace set up to manage the process. CBS Goes Green also uses customized apps to share new ideas for upcoming initiatives, and to manage the projects resulting from those ideas. As Kathrine explains in the video above, Evernote is the app she uses to capture and aggregate personal inspiration and fresh campaign ideas to drive the program’s expansion. Using the Evernote-Podio integration, she can now easily share her best ideas and invite her team members to collaborate on them.
Getting started with Evernote for Podio works the same way as uploading any file to Podio. You can simply click the paperclip or ‘Add files’ icon anywhere you see it, select ‘Evernote’, connect your Podio account to an Evernote account, then pick any note you want to share with your team. This integration will quickly add structure and collaborative workflow to your team-worthy Evernote files. We hope you love it and welcome your feedback, as always, in the comments below.

I'm part of the communications team, focusing on videos. Originally from the UK, I moved to Copenhagen and joined Podio in 2010. Besides Podio, I love music and have an unexplainable knowledge of almost every rap lyric ever rapped – try me.
And here I was thinking this week couldn’t get any better after the app reference feature release… Nice work!

I love it!
Also, the editor in me can’t help it, but this sentence is missing a word:
“Evernote, the app that helps you [AND?] about 20 million other people all over the world remember stuff…”

Everybody – keep your eyes on the ‘PODIO RODEO’ !! The team seem to just keep on ‘ROUNDING UP’ more and more of the good stuff that’s available on the net and ‘CORRALING’ it all for us in PODIO.
Keep up the good work Team Podio !!

This is one more example of the phenomenally intelligent and practical evolution of Podio. I was curious does Podio just share the link to the evernote item? If so, when you add an evernote item as an attachment and send to another member of a workspace as a message…does that member need to also be in your “sharing” access to that evernote folder or is the item actually extracted from evernote and attached to the message so that anyone with the message can view?

Thanks Andrew! Actually when you share an item from Evernote in Podio anyone that can see that item i.e. anyone who can see a workspace’s stream, or an app item, or a message, will be able to access it. So, the access permission to the content from Evernote is changed to fit that of where you are sharing it in Podio. Hope this explains it.
