SEEBA is a business development consultancy, helping clients develop local businesses, government contacts, manage distribution, suppliers and business partnerships between Scandinavian and South Eastern European countries.
“Having a flexible and reliable platform for management of projects is crucial for our business,” says SEEBA CEO, Adnan Berberovic – describing how Podio’s collaboration software makes it possible for their dispersed team to work with partners across 10 countries.
“Podio also offers a flexible and easy way to build new apps, that can be adapted to each organisation’s needs.
“We’ve used this opportunity and built two apps, adding extra value to our organisation,” explains Adnan.
To manage costs at SEEBA, Adnan built the Costs App. On the web, and using the Podio iPhone App, Adnan’s team record all the fixed costs in their organisation, group them by department, and attach invoices. The accountant responsible for paying the costs, then gets everything in one central place within the project management software, can filter all the costs by who created them, over different time periods, and whether they’ve been paid or not.
A great way to customise this app to work for your company would be to first add all your company’s departments into the project management software. This will then enable you to create reports showing the total costs incurred by each department every month. These will automatically update when ever a new cost is entered. Another useful report could show live totals of all unpaid costs. For the basics of creating reports in Podio, check out this video. It could also be handy to add an auto-task when customising this project management software app – the person responsible for paying costs will then instantly get a task to review new costs whenever they are created.
Adnan also built the Links App to create a structured library of useful links. The links are then shared with everyone in the workspace, with descriptions to indicate what they’re useful for, and tags to keep them organised. Both the Links App, and the Costs App are available for free in the App Store.
